Pros

Overall as a work from home job, they provided the computers and supplies to be able to do the job. They reimburse some of the cost for internet and telephone services you need for the job. I did not have to make any monetary investment to start the job. The training that was provided was great and was able to perform the job duties when we finished training. I enjoyed the team mentality of the team I was assigned to, we all supported each other and cheered each other on on Teams which was helpful since this was my first work from home experience. Communication with regards to expectations was good and as employees we can voice an opinion or ask questions to upper management not just direct supervisors. Overall, I am enjoying my job.

Cons

Training was good but sometimes there were things that could have been better so that when we got on the phone we would not need as much support from the supervisor. In the training environment it was kind of hard to really know what to expect. I think the transition from training to actually doing hands on needed to be a little longer so we could have more time to get more guidance. I think having one supervisor for 12 people was not enough for the short time in transition. But overall it was ok.

Pros

Work from home. Excellent training program. Excellent continuing education. Nice supervisors. Excellent benefits.

Cons

Big brother type of micromanagement. They want high pressure type sales tactics. Upper management and direct supervisors give conflicting information. No opportunity to change position if you aren't good at sales, even if you know more about Medicare than most people supervising you. HUGE hiring push in July to staff for upcoming AEP. Expect 1/3rd to be laid off week after OEP. Very llittle lead ownership. Constantly changing commission structure. Not sure how owning and using Medicare.com is not misleading when Medicare.gov is Medicare's actual address. Lower performers get low call tiers, but are still expected to succeed.

Pros

Many experienced and talented employee's always lead to a positive work environment, however, today I am reaching out to review how the company made me feel during the aftermath of a recent hurricane that devastated my neighborhood and impacted my ability to work. This is a big company and my position is completely remote. Our communication has been primarily through the internet in a variety of ways, much like the communications we have with the clients we serve. It has never left me feeling isolated and our teams function in many of the same ways we interacted prior to moving to remote. I actually think it has allowed me to connect even more to team members and just as importantly our clients in a way that is becoming more of todays normal than the way we had done it before. During the hurricane, I lost my power, I lost my internet access, and it was understandably a difficult period to wait to see what would happen to the job I really love. I was contacted personally each day by my direct supervisor Tyler Bastian offering support and really just checking in to see how we were doing. I received a personal phone call after missing several days without service from Bob Rees, a VP in our sales department along with Kristi Henderson in our HR department. My fears of losing employment due to my lack of ability to perform the duties my job required during this difficult time were quickly turned to an appreciation for a company with leadership that care. They were calling me to offer support and I felt I needed to review eHealth to let other potential employees that are wondering what it is like to work here how it feels. I have worked with competitors doing something similar to what we do and my experience was not nearly the same. This is a company that cares, with some of the most innovative technology I have seen and the most open to hearing from employees about how to keep things positive. They listen.

Cons

I wish that some of the previous co-workers I have worked with that are still with other companies would try employment with eHealth, so more people would have a similar review to post and know what it is like to work for a company that cares.
