Pros

Monday-Friday schedule. Bonuses for meeting productivity goals. Free supervision Free CEU Professional development stipend

Cons

You are not really part of the EvolvedMD team and don't have a lot of interaction with other employees. It can be hard when you work at a clinic that doesn't include you as part of their team. You don't really know where you fit in.

Hello, Co- CEO Erik Osland here, thank you for providing feedback. Want to start with acknowledging that your commentary is fair and that we are actively working at the executive and strategic levels to address concerns around the employee experience. As a company that strives to be “Radically Transparent,” we consistently ask for and receive feedback from our employees. Mostly good but sometimes the commentary forces us to look inward and figure out better ways to improve the overall experience for our team. As you know our model requires evolvedMD to place staff within community-based primary care sites. In most cases, these sites embrace our staff and pull them into their own community where meaningful and lasting relationships are forged. As in all workplaces, there can also sometimes be challenges that can limit an individual’s engagement and satisfaction. We are fully aware of this challenge and continue to have a significant focus on how we can support and engage our team members 1. evolvedMD is a provider and employee-focused organization regardless of where staff is located. We cultivate and encourage open dialogue, we focus on work-life balance, and professional and career development and we put our $$ where our mouth is at and bonus all staff on completing regular self-care activities. 2. We invest heavily in the qualified and tenured field-based management staff. Each one of our behavioral health clinicians is supported by an Advanced Independently Licensed Clinical Manager. We keep our ratios below 8:1 to ensure managers can dedicate 2-3 hours weekly at each practice site supporting individual clinicians in the field. These managers are responsible for supporting the personal and professional needs of our clinicians. They mentor, coach, assist with overcoming obstacles and provide supervision toward licensure advancement. And a lot more… 3. We have adapted strategies to quickly incorporate our clinicians into the clinical teams at the external primary care practice sites. This involves relationship and rapport-building activities and inclusion in all practice-level activities and team-building events. We want you to be a member of BOTH teams! While we are proud of these efforts, I hear your concerns and understand that we need to do more in this space. In that spirit, I will be asking all evolvedMD team members to identify additional actions we can take as part of our All-Teams meetings in January. We are building a team of exceptional folks passionate about changing the way patients are treated within the behavioral health system. This requires a commitment to continually improve the employee experience. I look forward to leading this work, thank you for providing the opportunity to articulate our strategy. All the best. -Oz

Pros

evolvedMD has been an amazing experience. Though it continues to grow I always feel important. The CEO and part owner is always excited and happy to see me as are all the other corporate employees that travel regularly from AZ to Utah for various reasons. I know I am valued and appreciated. I also feel very supported by the care coordinator (my favorite part of the position), knowing that they are going to put in the effort of getting my patients the referrals they need and then following up with them to make sure it happens. That took so much pressure off me so I could focus on what I do best, the therapy. The rest of the company does the same thing but for the logistical side of the operation. They work with the admin staff of the clinic, and with billing and all the other confusing and frankly annoying things so that I don't have to worry about any of it. I can just sit with my patient knowing that everything else is taken care of. Another awesome thing about evolvedMD is that they have supervisors within the organization that will make sure you get all your hours for licensure, free of cost! They also have a program where you can earn a CEU every month and get bonused for it! They do additional productivity bonuses and incentivize self-care. Last pro that I'll say is the working hours. 8-5 with an hour lunch and you are salary. Shut your laptop at 5 and go home to be with your family. No on-call. You really are never going to find another company in mental health like this one. I could see this being my forever career.

Cons

Sometimes being on your own in a Family Practice clinic and being the only behavioral health manager there can feel lonely, but like I said before, they come out to visit and there are company events and happy hours that make up for that as you get to connect with other BHMs and evolvedMD employees.

Pros

Flexible schedule if you are not a clinician

Cons

Being a tenured employee at evolvedMD once felt like an achievement, but over time, it’s become clear that longevity isn’t valued the way it used to be. Career advancement opportunities are minimal, and meaningful raises are rare unless actively pursued or escalated. It’s also discouraging to see new hires brought in at higher salaries than long-standing team members in the same roles. This imbalance has created a sense of stagnation and frustration among those who’ve invested years into the company. Many of us feel undervalued—and at times, intentionally pushed out. As the company grows, it’s become increasingly clear that employees are seen as more replaceable than ever.
