Pros

Work/life balance-if I'm getting things done, I have 100% freedom to determine my work hours. Compensation-If you work hard your 1st year the income potential is as high for a new person as it is for someone that's been here for 20 years. We are 100% performance based. Earning 45k here is miserable, but earning 100-300k here will seem incredibly easy. High Energy Work Environment-We run hard here, and try to keep people excited and motivated to be active in order to accomplish their personal goals. Work/reward mentality from the owners. I've placed many people in sales/commission type roles over the years here, and have found that we are very unique in that we do not change the reward system to reduce commissions, we actually do the opposite here. And our goals are very realistic, not the typical things you hear from people saying they say they will pay us, but the goals are never reached, or they change them just as you approach them.

Cons

It's all on your shoulders to make this work. There is training, coaches, and co-workers to help a person get their 1st year going, but it really comes down to the person to have a mentality of "this is my business". Showing up for work doesn't cut it, going through the motions doesn't make you successful. Most people struggle to comprehend this for several months and give up before they turn the corner mentally. Another huge hurdle is our freedoms to come and go as you wish. We have no attendance policy, and many people that have not established themselves take advantage of this, and end up working less and less, and eventually failing. People say they want to "be their own boss" but most are not disciplined enough to actually do it. Most have never run their own business before, and understand what it takes to get it running smoothly in order to gain the rewards. The people here that consistently earn 100-300k are NOT working 40 hours a week, it's much less, but they put the hard work in to achieve this their 1st year or 2. These people figured it out. New people need to work more than 40 hours a week until they get it figured out, no matter how long that takes. If you are not bringing in money, and your are not showing up for work, it won't last long. If you are not bringing in money, but showing up for work and putting in effort to get things done, we will be with you every step of the way until you succeed.

Pros

I have been with Gpac for over 5 years. This has been an excellent career change. They have given me the tools to be successful and spend considerable amount of time to make it happen on my desk. It's a great culture - You know exactly where you rank with the other recruiters - which in turn motivates and pushes you to the next level which is uncapped potential earnings.

Cons

Like any other strictly commission job, you will experience peaks and valleys. I'm not going to sugarcoat it. You will struggle. However, that's when your coach steps in and brings you back to reality and helps you make some serious ca$h.
