Pros

1. Solid Initial Training GPAC offers helpful early training that introduces the tools and systems you need to get started. The trainers are supportive and responsive when questions come up. While the basics are covered, most of the truly useful day-to-day tips like sourcing strategies or time management are picked up later through informal conversations with other recruiters. 2. Supportive Senior Leadership and Trainers My experience with the senior leadership team and the formal training staff was positive. They seemed genuinely invested in helping new recruiters grow and succeed. The bigger issue was the coaching experience after training, which varies a lot. 3. Clear Structure for Goal Focused People There is a strong structure around expectations, activity goals, and performance. If you are motivated by numbers and enjoy working toward clear targets, that part of the role may appeal to you. 4. Opportunity to Earn There is financial potential for those who can consistently produce results. If you are able to close deals and stay on top of the fast pace, the commission structure can be rewarding.

Cons

1. Unprofessional Coaching Experience My coach often made comments about other team members in ways that were unprofessional and uncomfortable. At one point, he even posted in the team messaging system expressing concern about whether a new recruiter would be successful. That kind of behavior created an environment of mistrust and made the team dynamic feel toxic. 2. Constant Turnover on My Team Turnover was extremely high, and from what I saw, it was likely tied to our coach’s management style. There was very little support or mentorship, and many people did not last long. New recruiters were expected to figure things out quickly without consistent guidance. 3. Meetings That Took Up Valuable Time There were frequent meetings that felt repetitive, including team building sessions scheduled during prime working hours. It often felt like these meetings interrupted the actual work we needed to do, even though we were still being held to strict daily metrics. 4. This Is a Sales Job This position is sales driven through and through. It is not just about how hard you work. It is about whether you are closing deals. You can be putting in serious effort and still be seen as underperforming if you are not getting placements. That can be discouraging, especially when you are doing everything within your control. 5. Lack of Consistent Mentorship Once training ended, there was not much structured support. You were expected to learn fast and ask for help if needed, but not everyone had a coach who was available or effective. If you were not matched with someone who truly cared about helping you grow, it was easy to feel lost. 6. Mixed Messages and No Follow Through I was told I was doing well and that someone believed in me, only to be let go a few days later. That kind of message feels meaningless without real support behind it. I also reached out to share concerns and offer feedback, but no one ever followed up. That silence said more than any words.
