hCentive is one of the few commercial high-tech companies in the Federal Jungle. So, it can be a desirable place to be if you are seeking a Silicon Valley type of company in the east coast. Given that it is a small, start-up like organization, you set the culture, and the success of the company. There are many that complains about many things, and they should really think if they are part of the problem vs the platform available to them. There are many that complains about workload, and yet the productivity and efficiency of their own is in question. It is no secret there has been involuntary termination, but so what, the company will do whats in it best interest. On the other hand, if times are good, the company also rewards you heavily. So take responsibility of the success of the org, and you deal with your own reward and misfortune. Those that are really strong, skillful and have entrepreneurial mindset will be successful. You will enjoy and do well at hCentive.
Cons
There are bureaucracy in part of the organization. You will need to learn how to standout, and get part of the inner circle. Just hard work will not cut it, and thats just part of the game. Some will get it, and others will exit.
