Great Place to Work

Pros

I loved working for iHeartMedia, unfortunately I was in a role that was outside my realm of experience (Sales), and my easy going and empathetic nature was working against me in acquiring contracts, not to mention being a black woman in Fort Wayne Indiana, it was tough walking into businesses doing cold calls. But outside of that, the company itself was amazing. If you're a good salesperson you can win and make a lot of money. Their onboarding is amazing, so many incredible tools at your disposal. I recommend if you're in sales looking for a great company to work for, iHeartMedia is it.

Cons

My management team in Lima was great, but the Senior Matt Bell was giving racist vibes, totally uninterested in my success. Made promises he didn't deliver on, and then fired me, and told me I can burn my iHeartMedia swag. I was so offended. That's just one person, and my only con.

Pros

- Great managers and co-workers. Some of the best managers I have had in my professional career. - Remote positions easily available - Ability to jump around different positions internally - You will generally get a raise if you just ask (and of course has merits to back it up) - Though raises aren't that big of an increase so it's easier to jump around and get more pay that way. - The things you will learn will open up many doors when you decide to leave. I personally learned a lot about marketing, sales, building relationships with clients/agencies, etc.

Cons

- Raises aren't very good, and not competitive to other companies. - - iHeart has had 3 layoffs in the last 4 years, from entry-level to VP and everyone in between. - AEs are constantly stressed to reach company goals, local market-level management is also stressed and over-worked, so support is also stressed and over-worked. Recently, commissions have also been decreased on certain products that are negatively affecting AEs and leading to lower moral overall. - Most positions will lead to burnout. Be CAREFUL. - It's definitely a "profit over people" type of company

Pros

I LOVED the team I worked on and my manager. My team was diverse, my manager was extremely supportive and always had our best interests at heart, and we were 100% remote!

Cons

The company has multiple layoffs every year. The pay was kind of low, and there weren't a whole lot of growth opportunities.
