I Cannot Recommend Working for iHeartMedia

Pros

Management is typically hands off and there is occasional access to free tickets or food.

Cons

There is very little room for advancement or raises. There has been a consistent downsizing of staff and more vertical integration of positions. Staffing reductions are seeming made with only finances in mind, leaving others to assume more and more tasks. 50 hour weeks are the average.

Pros

Very few - they are trying to pull themselves into the digital age with some new products (though nobody really seems to know how to position them). Avoid this place at all costs.

Cons

Unattainable goals, sales is 100% commission after the guarantee period (which is also very low) and the managers are also selling against you (or stealing the few leads that aren't taken). You aren't rewarded by years or experience or quality of work, only by who goes drinking with the managers. No reimbursement for anything (mileage, client entertainment). No real structure of management down.

Pros

Sounds cool to say "I work for iHeart" Access to Concerts and Events

Cons

Management is TERRIBLE, they're never available, horrible at communicating, and when they are available they're not helpful at all unless you've been there since the beginning of time. They have no integrity, constantly made promises they cannot or will not deliver on. Management is infamous for throwing the reps under the bus and leaving the reps to clean up the mess. Very reactive instead of proactive. Management is Clueless with an old-school mentality and seem to have fell into their positions by default. It's a hostile work environment with 0 training (they consider a few online modules adequate training) and a sink or swim method. There's no HR on site leaving the staff vulnerable to HR issues. No mileage reimbursement, no expense account, no phone, ipad, etc. TERRIBLE benefit package
