Good work-life balance, but stagnant pay and layoffs

Pros

- direct manager was good though a little out of touch - good work-life balance, vacation days and benefits

Cons

- no pay raise. For anyone in 5 years. All you'll hear is "soon" - no growth or promotion. They want everyone in same spot doing the same thing. - layoffs, no backfills, just dump work on you - they waste money on stupid stuff instead of actually giving raises - thankless.

Pros

I had a great manager, and the office environment was very good. Definitely a good set of people to work with. Insurance was really good, which I desperately needed when I took the job. They provide snacks and coffee. Yes, that is one of the pros.

Cons

There are a lot of cons. Pay is low, prospecting is difficult based on the companies text stack. Their salesforce development is weak and confusing. The company is $5 billion in debt, and have been making huge layoffs, including hosts on the air. They push radio and wanted us to sell it almost exclusively, but it’s just a dying game. I was there for six months, made over 3000 phone calls, set over 25 first time meetings, pitched about the same and every single deal fell through, even with my manager on the phone. Some of the hardest sales I’ve ever done. I just didn’t see an upside.
