Pros

Subject matter experts were always available for advice and support. Weekly status meetings allowed you to learn about other projects and to touch base with fellow PMs. At the consultant level, a very fun group of people.

Cons

Management would make decisions regarding your project and inform you just as the decision was being implemented. As the project manager, being kept in the loop is critical.

Pros

The legacy teams who still are in place from pre-mergers with the Chinese entity are all great people to work with. Really smart, engaging, and willing to do what it takes to advance the company forward.

Cons

Unfortunately the Chinese holding company has no idea about how things work in North America and continually pushes trends and "new opportunities" onto the North American team with no investment in what it will take to be successful in the market space. They also do not invest in the NA practices.
