Growth and dynamic work situations are not always everyone’s cup of tea. This is not the best environment for people who aren’t committed to tackling big and interesting challenges, working with complicated financial domains, or taking leadership roles.
That said, there are many talented, high functioning individuals in a small company, which can sometimes lead to heads butting. At the end of the day, the organizations commitment to transparency and process will always win the day, allowing for the marketplace of ideas to compete and have the best ones rise to the top. Nonetheless, if individuals are not used to having competing voices and perspectives, typical of larger shops, this might not be ideal for them.
The organization continues to professionalize all aspects of its development and operations, a task that is never truly done anywhere you go. They have high aspirations and plans in place, but as more and more areas mature, the true test will be how fast they accomplish their internally states goals and abandon some of the business as usual of yesterday.
