There is a lack of moral within this Credit Union that all goes back to leadership and their behavior towards employees. Ppl are literally monitored constantly. The micro managing from upper leadership is extreme at times. Most of us do feel completely uneasy around them and do not believe they actually care for us as employees or humans. Turn over is high and I believe it is for this reason.
Be prepared to have little to no training on your job. Training is about a week- maybe two if you are lucky. You'll get a basic overview of the systems used, shadow someone in your role, and then you're just on your own.
Although I mentioned a lot of cross training as a pro, I will mention it as con as well. Sure it's great to learn a lot within other departments, but the pay for the ridiculous amount of tasks we are expected to complete is not up to par. Being thrown task from other department also leads people to feel very unstable in what is actually expected of them.
The calls. The endless and relentless calls to members. I regularly dealt with my members being frustrated because we are required to make repeated outbound calls to them to tell(sell) them about monthly promotions. There has to be a better way to increase business without the obnoxious level of cold calling. It comes off and so disingenuous and the members feel it.
The favouritism is very noticable here.
Lack of direction is baffling. There is never a straight forward answer for anything. You have to ask so many people to get partial answers.
The work culture here is nice nasty.
