ifm manufacturers some of the best sensors and controls in the industry. The employees at ifm create a true family atmosphere. Continual safe growth High level of job security Benefits are on par with the industry

Cons

The majority of the mid to upper management team have not worked outside of this organization, resulting in a lack of perspective when it comes to the 'reality' that employees and customers have to deal with on a day-to-day basis. Professional development is not encouraged, in fact, professional development is discouraged in some departments. Under performers are not encouraged to increase performance, nor are they ever removed from their positions. Compensation is very low compared to the industry, merit increases are not common / if ever. given.

Pros

People were great, good this, company was innovative and forward thinking. Within manufacturing, had solid methodology and SOP standards in place. Product Managers very knowledgeable. The company was open to new ideas, and treats its employees, customers, and vendors well. The interview was one of the toughest, but very thorough.Excellent benefits.

Cons

Only downside was there was limited growth for advancement in the corporate location in some departments.

Great product, stable company, work flexibility, well respected.

Cons

I left after 5+ years after watching collegues leave for other organizations and be promoted to Directors, Managers, and National Sales Mgrs within 1-3 years leaving ifm. The expectations are being at ifm for 10+years before given any real advancement to manager. It is difficult waiting for that opportunity when there are manager favorites with 5-10+ years experience ahead of you. No outside hires contribute to a groupthink mentality of people that have been with company for 20-30 years. Compensation varies greatly by manager favorites. At times, unprofessional behavior exhibited by managers.
