The CEO loves to talk about humility, but doesn't understand the definition of the word. The book he read over the weekend is his current passion and the management plan of the week. This will somehow make him, and the rest of his team, more expert than anyone in the company, even those with a decade or more of personal experience. Those who question, end up in dead ends. Promotions are by edict. In 10 years I never saw a single internal job posting. I did see dozens of "yes" people promoted, often beyond their skill sets.
