Pros

Company is becoming LTCG. This is not illumifin. Pushing out all the knowledgeable people.

Cons

401k match is not the 3% promised, they had to lower it to 1.5% just to give raises. Rest assured the upper management got there compensation.

Not a good company

Pros

Pockets of good leadership and dedicated employees. Business model in general is good. Leader in industry from the long term care side, and so much potential for new business on the health and life insurance side.

Cons

Vision isn't there. They are trying to survive with unrealistic venture capital owner expectations. Severely over budget on conversions, which drained available money necessary work to set the company up for future profits. Problems start right at the top. Exec leadership has had too much turnover, company merger with LTCG doesn't appear to be going well. There is still an 'us' vs 'them' mentality deeply entrenched. Leadership/HR is not dealing with this. Yet, leadership keeps getting promoted to VPs, even as their employees are being laid off. It's a depressing place to work at this time. Just had another layoff this week, after having had one 5 weeks ago. This doesn't allow people to get on with their jobs because they are constantly looking over their shoulder for the next one, which might impact them. They need to do a 'one and done' layoff rather than nickel and dime layoffs that don't allow employees to de-stress and focus on their work. At some point, critical employees will be jumping ship in droves - people who will be difficult to replace quickly because of their knowledge of the company and processes.

Pros

Flexibility on working hours when needed.

Cons

Fear of always losing your job. Every year they do a layoff or downsizing, Most of the time its good people, it seems they get paid too much.
