Pros

The China team is very vibrant, with a young and high-quality group of people. There’s a good mix of international culture and professionalism, and overall people are friendly, supportive, and easy to collaborate with. The office environment is also a big plus. The China office is located in a modern CBD with a lot of well-known Chinese and international companies nearby, which creates a dynamic atmosphere. The new office space is well designed and makes it easy for teams to collaborate. Benefits are relatively competitive compared to many local companies, and the company does put effort into employee well-being. This includes one day of WFH per week, catered lunches a couple of times each week, 20 days of PTO annually, private health insurance, and some other nice perks.

Cons

Like many growing companies, processes are still evolving, so there can occasionally be some ambiguity in ownership or workflows. Cross-team alignment may take extra effort at times, especially when working across regions and time zones.

Pros

A fast-growing company with products that are clearly leading in the industry. Peers are friendly and supportive, and my leader is always ready to help. I can learn a lot and grow continuously in current role

Cons

The pace in China is significantly faster than in other regions and the client working ethics in China is very hard, so the work pressure is relatively intense.

GC Need Fresh Air

Pros

The company generously grants us exactly one glorious day of "Remote Liberty" (WFH) per week to serve from our home bases.

Cons

1. Mandatory Open-Mindedness Leadership puts on a great show of wanting our "honest feedback." However, if you actually speak the truth, you’d better pack your bags and get ready for a one-way drop-pod out of the company. (Read the other reviews about "GC" below; you'll see the casualty list). Promotions here have zero to do with your actual skills or hard work. You only rank up if you are a fan-favorite of High Command, or if you simply survive here long enough without committing "thought treason." 2. The Hologram of Equality We have a female MD, so the company loves to broadcast its "gender equality." We promote a few female managers and hire more female staff just to satisfy Global Command's diversity quotas. But if a female employee actually needs her legally required maternity rights? Good luck, soldier. May Liberty protect you, because they certainly won't. 3. Expendable Workforce & Toxic Air Management casually spies on our medical insurance logs and hospital visits. Recently, we were all ordered to deploy into a newly renovated office. We are currently breathing and working in an environment where the TVOC levels are 4 times the national safety limit. People are physically getting sick, but Command is completely blind to it and offers zero solutions. Why? Because no one dares to report it (see Point 1), and Management is simply incapable of admitting they made a mistake, as always.

Thank you for sharing your perspective. We recognize that not every employee will have the same experience, and we welcome constructive feedback about leadership, culture, career growth, and workplace policies. However, we do want to address a few factual inaccuracies. Employee medical information is private and is not used by management to monitor individual healthcare activity. Additionally, following concerns raised about air quality in our newly renovated office, we engaged independent experts to conduct testing and assessment. The results confirmed that the office met applicable health and safety standards. The wellbeing of our employees is a priority, and we would never ignore legitimate safety concerns. We also understand that trust is earned through actions, not statements. While we may disagree with some of the characterizations in this review, we remain committed to fostering an environment where employees can share feedback, develop their careers, and work in a safe and respectful workplace. We appreciate everyone who takes the time to share their experiences and help us continue improving.
