Pros

Good employee discounts, I guess. Great bonuses when reaching certain sales goals, and we had some sweat benefits we could use on a gym, yoga classes or other sports/activities. The concept and values of the company are actually really great when you first hear about them.

Cons

Although it wasn't on my contract, and never verbally said to me before signing (even though I ask twice during my interviews), they made me learn Mandarin lol. By myself. "You can install an app that teaches you" ... I'm a foreign here, I'm fluent in 3 other languages, but I told them from the start that I can't speak Cantonese or Mandarin, and they still hired me. Two weeks after I started they informed me I would have a mandarin test by the end OF THE MONTH lol. Cult-like behaviour. That's as honest as honest gets. Some people make working there their whole personality and it becomes an impossible environment to work at. You're literally selling leggings, calm down. Oh, and training was too intense. It's a retail job, but it looks like you're joining a new religion. They never tell us we HAVE TO wear only lululemon, BUT we are strictly prohibited to have other logos showing. But obviously they don't provide us with clothes. So I ended up spending money I didn't have, so I could go to work.. Even having the employee discount, it was awfully expensive. This was possibly a thing only at my store, but.. Schedules are supposed to rotate, and yet I was stuck on night shift for a month. Just unbearable. Maybe this comes with the Chinese retail culture, because some customers here enjoy that personalised shopping experience, and being pampered. It gives off a luxury vibe. But our manager literally made us shadow guests around the store, to the point some of them would leave. I personally hate it when people do that to me, so I tried not to suffocate my guests, and give them space to look at items by themselves. Stay close enough to step in if they looked confused or like they needed assistance. I was told off a lot of times for doing that, for giving guests some space. Ridiculous. Lastly, the brand loves to greenwash, and as a sustainable fashion designer I couldn't stand for it. That's just a personal ethical thing, but I thought I should mention it.
