Pros

The company philosophy is exceptional and the feeling of belonging is one of the best I've ever seen in a publicly traded business.

Cons

Must demonstrate long term goals with the company in order to advance.

losing the magic quickly

Pros

lululemon once was an inspirational organization founded on strong principals and values. The success of the company is based on the focus on its people and their development which in turn will create great guest experiences.

Cons

Today it is a "nice" company to work for and has lost the competitive edge it once had. Year over year in the past several years, the company has gotten farther and farther away from the values and principals that made the company unique, special and successful. The focus on leadership development through the work work and creating an environment where people take themselves on is gone at the head office. More and more decisions are based on leaders pet projects or from ego, quarterly earnings and stock prices and less on principals and values. The inspiration and quality people in leadership are leaving on mass or have left. I fear it's too far gone to bring back the magic of what it once was.

Pros

Good employee discount on clothes for yourself. Yoga classes paid for by the company (twice a week). Casual work environment. Lots of opportunities for feedback (giving and receiving). Goal-oriented culture.

Cons

Must be a culture fit to growth opportunities. Low compensation for expectations and experience. Management and expectations vary vastly between departments at the head office.
