Pros

Free Yoga & Fitness Classes for employees. Generous Employee discount. Positive, "Fun" & "Colorful" work environment.

Cons

Employees are required to create & publicly share (or post) "Goal Sheets" in relation to their personal goals as well as their professional goals. Cult-like internal culture. Employees are regularly expected to participate in "Community" activities, i.e. attending events, meetings or classes in the area, to implement word-of-mouth marketing for the company, without receiving pay.

Pros

Rich evolving culture, constant opportunity and promotion, relatively transparent. In office yoga and fitness, employee share purchase matching, lots of events, fun work environment, huge investments in training and professional development. Opportunity to create your own job!

Cons

Fast growth means leanings towards big corporation ways of being. Long decision times and shareholder accountability can make projects and product move slowly - can delay real innovation or early adoption. Health benefits are lame because founder believes athletes don't have many health issues??? Hello physio?

Pros

They hire some great people. All of which get burnt out on the constant hypocrisy and two-faced management. Commission is decent during the holidays.

Cons

Culture can be very grating. Attempts to be upbeat about clearly unattainable daily goals is transparent and demoralizing to the team. How about just setting reasonable ones? Worst part being, the leaders know the educators are not buying that garbage, yet they continue to sweep reality under the rug. Performance reviews are often ambiguous with little justification from managers. Lots of vacuous flowery language with little actual substance constantly regurgitated at every opportunity. There is a surprisingly large amount of office politics for a retail store. Didn't know that the extra $2/hr for a key leader position warranted machiavellian tactics among "teammates". Very cliquey, get chummy with the managers or else you'll be quickly shown the door. The much championed gift of feedback only flows downstream. Constructive feedback given to leaders is often met with defensive and antagonistic responses, stymying development and perpetuating their incompetences.
