Pros

Phenomenal discount, free fitness classes, fun special events, opportunity for travel and leadership training, fast track through management, upbeat, clean and fun work environment.

Cons

Little work/life balance, expectation to go 'above and beyond', expectation to read various books and attend events and trainings for which you are not paid, a 'type A'/perfectionist environment that encourages working overtime but doesn't compensate accordingly. Management at lululemon includes a lot of 'personal development' which is both beneficial and also a negative at times. Employees are held to frequently unattainable standards of 'always being on', 'being bright and shiny', 'giving 110% at all times', 'having high energy at all times', etc. -- these are great standards to have but become quickly suffocating when they're used as catchphrases on a daily basis and are the litmus test for employee effectiveness and contribution.

Pros

lululemon is comitted to the development of their employees. They are comitted to growing their business on the platform of core values and organic connections with their community. The passion of the employees resonates on the soudning board of integrity and good health. lululemon allows their associates to be empowered to make decisions. A day in the life of a lululemon is never ordinary. Nothing was ever impossible. We worked like a true team and were in charge and challeged to get over ourselves and find our own greatness.

Cons

As a store assistant manager, we worked our tails off. My lIfe became all about luluemon, supporting my associates in all of their goals/endevors (often outside of the store) and trying to fit in 10 classes a week.. Don't get me wrong, I had a ton of fun; and at that point in my career I needed to connect on that level with my organization,. However, I felt as though there was no time for anything other than lululemon and I began to feel unbalanced. My relationships with non-lulus suffered and I became detached to a lifestyle that I once knew.

Pros

discount on yoga pants and exercise classes

Cons

the "pipeline" they talk about is more like a bottleneck- and playing favoritism with your boss, even if they're problematic, is the only way to get promoted here. there's a noticeable mean girl culture, and meetings are a thinly veiled way to gossip about employees.
