Pros

- Some of the best people I've met in my life have been my teammates at nCino. - If you have a positive attitude, are a good teammate, and are willing to get out of your comfort zone, the sky is the limit for your career growth. - CEO is awesome, very motivating, loved this guy - Recruiting wise, the company and culture makes it an easy sell to candidates. Especially in Wilmington (HQ). - Being in office everyday, the environment is 2nd to none. Fully stocked kitchens, game rooms, treadmills, outside work areas, state of the art office furniture. Just a great place to spend your work day - Solid product that has matured a ton, international growth is exciting for the future. - Company puts money behind what they say is important: Hackathons, professional development, updating compensation structures, employee benefits. Essentially, taking care of their people. I could go on and on, but nCino is truly a great place to grow your career and surround yourself with awesome people. Highly recommend it to anyone interested.

Cons

Not a ton to add here, spent 6 years here and they were the best 6 years of my professional career. Was just time for a change for me. More budget transparency for mid-level managers to understand capabilities for purchasing better tools for their team, team building/lunches, etc...

Pros

Good benefits and PTO, most people who work here are decent

Cons

Upper management (C-suite and just below) are completely out of touch and unreliable. From “we support remote” to fully in office within the span of a few months. Low pay. Bad management training and performance management. 3 separate products that do 3 separate things and do not align into one product.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. After over a year following implementation, we are no longer discussing the decision to return to office. And we are very proud of our pay for performance approach that ensures those who perform their jobs well are well compensated. It seems that you are unhappy and we encourage you to speak with your leader or your People Operations Business Partner to determine how they may possibly assist you further.

Pros

Decent benefits and they pay your annual deductible via HSA, coworkers were great to work with and if you get on a good team the dynamic is awesome, manager was amazing

Cons

Where do I start... 1. Pay is poor compared to the current market for this position and does not fall within nCino's Glassdoor range. Annual comp was $25k lower than actual market value and the company’s Glassdoor range. Annual raises are so low they feel insulting. It seems like people you don't report to have final say in your performance reviews. As for career growth, you have to either move to a completely new department, be a teacher's pet to someone in upper management, or find another opportunity outside of nCino. 2. Culture is vapid and encourages 'yes men' for higher ups. Culture used to be great and fun to be a part of but has declined rapidly, especially for remote employees. Remote employees do not seem to be considered when changes are made throughout the org. 3. They push back to office like nobody's business and even require employees hired as remote to go into the office if they are within the 30 mile radius of any nCino office. Upper management seems to have disdain for remote employees. 4. Recognition is centered on the main Wilmington office where it seems only those employees tend to win the quarterly and annual awards. It is very rare if someone outside of the Wilmington office gets nominated, let alone wins an award.

Thank you for your review and we are glad you found our benefits and your coworkers as great positives. We also appreciate your suggestions but would like to clarify a few points. 1. Our pay ranges are based on market data of like size, like revenue, like industry organizations that operate in the markets in which we operate. All nCino employees are positioned within those competitive ranges, based on their experience, skills and performance. Annual merit increases are based on an employee's performance against their established goals and can range from 0 to 10%. When some national averages state that annual merit increases can trend around 3 to 3.5%, we feel having the potential to earn up to 10% makes us very competitive and provides strong performers the opportunity to significantly increase their wages. In addition, we have 2 other opportunities during the year for our strong performers to receive base pay adjustments and promotions. We invest in our employees Total Rewards - pay and fully funded health benefits - at a highly competitive rate that attracts exceptional talent to the company. 2. Remote workers have been and continue to be a key part of nCino's talent strategy. In fact, approximately 25% of our colleagues are remote and make incredible contributions to the success of the company. Yes, we do strive to first hire at our brick and mortar locations but recognize that there are times when the best candidate for a role may reside elsewhere. 3. Our quarterly and annual awards have been awarded to individuals across the globe - in office and remote. 4. Finally, regarding our culture. We will let the other posts on this site speak to our culture which so many find unsurpassed. This is not to say that we don't have opportunities to improve and we strive to do so every day. But it's important to ensure the facts shared in these posts are actually facts. We hope you have found a role with another exceptional company where you are happy and wish you all the best in all of your career endeavors!
