Pros

- Senior Management is ambitious, motivating and always willing to provide feedback - There exists an opportunity for advancement for those who work hard - The environment in the office is quiet so each employee can focus on what he/she is doing - Open-door policy - Always surrounded by smart, versatile, innovative people from various backgrounds

Cons

- Employees must be able to adapt to change, as the company has recently experienced a growth spurt - The hours are not long, but employees are expected to be at the office 7-4 or 8-5 with a lunch break, no flex time (those who are used to a more flexible schedule will not fare well)

Pros

Since it is a smaller company there are numerous opportunities to move up to management. If you work hard you will get noticed and compensated for it. Also because of its size you get to take on lots of responsibilites and roles. This has personally allowed me to grow to be more indepentant and confident in my decisions as well as giving me experience and knowledge in different areas. There is a family like atmosphere and employees feel comfortable expressing opinions and thoughts. The passion of the management for helping children and the after school sector is undeniable. This passion rubs off on all employees and makes it more than just a job.

Cons

Because it is a smaller company you will get noticed if you are not a hard worker. This is definitely not a company where you can just sit around and get by. There is alot of pressure from top level management to succeed and work hard. But what company doesn't have that? The top executives want the business to grow and thrive.

Very Disappointing

Pros

I was very excited to join this team, with a great the mission and a stable 17 year old company. Base Salary was solid The mission and vision and intention of the company is GREAT!! Good office location Austin, nice offices - this seems to be a priority them throughout the company.

Cons

*For a 17 year old software company I couldn't have been more disappointed. I worked at start-up organizations that had better structure. *NO Marketing Department, archaic website with inaccurate information and products listings that aren't even products *NO Product Marketing *NO Roadmap for the sales team to follow because that would mean we would have been committed to completing a project *Out of date technology *Upper management, although AMAZING visionaries, has no management or people skills to take the company to the next level. Prefers the "yes" employees, not the one's who challenge the company to become better. *NO SUPPORT FOR THE SALES TEAM. We lived in a silo of the company and treated as if we were the bad guys... it was a lost thought that sales teams brought in the revenue and should be provided proper training and support. Again, a direct reflection of upper management. *Poor commission structure and opportunity.
