Horrible

Pros

Very easy to get a position here, it is a revolving door of personnel

Cons

Everyone always fights everything. No team cohesion. Every hourly worker has the accountability of a four year old. Management demands your time at all hours of the day and doesn't really care that they do.

Decent but attractiveness is waning

Pros

People seem to genuinely care ESPP is decent but you have to make >$100K to really have it make an impact

Cons

Lost touch with DEI, employee satisfaction, etc. Mandated time in office (days and hours of the day) Base, bonus, PTO, and most other benefits are all much lower than market (individual contributors can’t earn higher than 5% bonus, entry managers 10%). PTO is 15 days, and you get 5 more every 5 years until you cap at 25. Career opportunities are bountiful (not necessarily progressive however) for engineers. All other functions are very, very difficult to move up or out at all times.

Thank you for sharing your experience as a long-term employee at nVent! It’s great to hear that you have seen our value of Respect and Teamwork demonstrated by those you work with. As you noted, career advancement can be challenging, depending on the function and location in which one works. It can be this way with many organizations—so we’re not alone—but it is a major priority for us to continue evolving. We want our people to excel, and there are a lot of factors that go into that. Compensation and benefits are regularly reviewed, so we do hope that your satisfaction in this area improves in the future as we continue to grow as an organization. We invite you to submit any additional information to Feedback@nVent.com, and we’ll see if we can help. Thanks again, and we wish you the best on your career journey with us!
