Pros

I have been with National Medical for six months and it is by far the best company I have ever worked for! I have never seen a more transparent and open company-COVID 19 has put so many companies and employees on edge; National Medical senior and executive staff have not failed to keep ALL employees up to date on how it was affecting our company. You will NOT find this easily! This company truly cares about the well-being of ALL employees from newest to most senior staff. It doesn't matter if you have been in medical coding and billing for years or just starting; everyone wants you to succeed and they are there to help you do just that! Yes this job is fast paced, requires focus, challenges you, and can be stressful; however, you will learn and you will grow and you will succeed!

Cons

I haven't any complaints about this company or my job!

Pros

Extra Days off and Golden Ticket Days

Cons

I worked for National Medical, and I loved my job - I walked in everyday happy and left happy, I loved my co-workers, and I felt like I belonged there. However, one day I was let go, and I never received any notice, nothing. I was called into a meeting and they told me that I was being let go, that I no longer fit their idea of where their company was going and to grab my things and leave. I asked if there was something I did, I asked if there was a way that I could improve and they said “no, just go” I was never given a performance review, or anything prior to me being let go. I didn’t even get a chance to grab my things other than my keys, and my coat. All of my personal items that were on my desk I had to leave, and I had to request my items back and give them a detailed list of all items that I had in/on my desk that I wanted back, and I still didn’t get everything back that I listed. They pay for their good reviews, and their management rules with an iron fist and you are just expected to take what they say and go with it or expect discipline or be fired. Soon after I left, I know of some that were making a joke about finding jobs out in another city on their personal time they were overheard by someone who happened to work there and they were let go the next day they reported to work. I also heard that the President Lisa Rock, came down and told them that if you are thinking of getting another job, they will fire you on the spot because they don’t “need that negativity in their workplace”. Also, almost all the upper management and "Senior Staff" are a part of the CEO and the President's family, with the Executive Vice President of Operations being the Lisa Rock’s daughter, and the Vice President of Process Improvement being her son. Also, her immediate family has roles in the company as management, and think they are above everyone, rule with an iron fist and expect you to kiss the ground they walk on (much like Lisa Rock herself). You are afraid to say the wrong thing, or look at someone wrong, which I was reprimanded for while being sick with the flu. I had a pounding headache and instead of being chipper and happy, I was teary eyed and didn’t feel good, but I was pulled into a meeting about my “attitude” problem but was told that I couldn’t leave but to get back to work. Don’t believe all the good reviews for this company, like I said they hold a raffle for the best review of the company bi-weekly and those that tell you the negative reviews are full of it or because of disgruntled employees are drinking from managements Kool-Aid.
