Pros
decent pay decent hours first promotion is fairly easy Most people on the floor are great to work with.
Cons
poor benefits package low pay increases (1-3%) uncertainty what is needed for promotions passed first level (goal posts keep being moved). instability and volatile work environment (never know if your job is safe or if the place is going to shut down) new hires get paid more than people who have been there a few years. management disconnect with what is happening on the floor.
