Pros

I was one of the first employees at the Nomad store. It was a really fun and exciting experience, Additionally, I believe in sustainable practices and Sweetgreen is true to its word. - Yes, good perks: good pay, free lunch, free shirts and gear - Learned a lot about the good business and food & hospitality practices - I meet new people from around the city and I had a great time working with them! - We met the founders of Sweetgreen

Cons

So many cons - At my particular store, I felt cheated because management made me a shift leader during the without paying me anything extra for it-- they took advantage of the fact that I was a college student who didn't go to school in the city. I would have to come to work earlier than anyone else, open the line and was held responsible for the morning shift. Ended up working about 40 hours and was paid the same as the lazier employees. -Too image conscience. They definitely have a targeted demographic which can make non-yuppie, non-twenties customers feel unwelcomed. And like-wise, they have a certain age range for their employees. -They don't give credit to the hardest workers such as the kitchen workers -Are ruthless about expanding -You have to force a smile from ear to ear all day in case your manager thinks you "aren't friendly" enough.

Pros

You get free salads on break and they're really good. When it's slow, it's kind of relaxing, but it's hardly ever slow.

Cons

shady management (ie: little communication between higher ups and team members, we never really knew what was going on), guys would go into the employee contact sheet, get girl's phone numbers and use them to hit on us, sometimes they would shorten our breaks, when customers screamed at us, our management would always treat us poorly in front of them to make them feel better. they took "the customer is always right" to a new extreme that was degrading to employees.
