Pros

- Built great relationships with some coworkers - When I first started I am was lucky to have good management and we had a more leader who actually cared about the well being of her team - Dog friendly office -Work from home and new office on the way - Impactful work when I first started

Cons

- High turnover (revolving door) - Leadership is clueless to the problems within their team and higher ups just look out for themselves. - Long hours ALL THE TIME unless you set boundaries but then again that's frowned upon

Pros

-free, healthy food -core values are admirable -50 hour work week (relatively low for a G.M.) -opportunity for growth -free t-shirts?

Cons

-total lack of organization -incomplete and lengthy manager-in-training program -lack of communication, unanswered emails -over hyped "culture" does not exist at ground level -low pay = unprofessional, irresponsible team members -3 week turnaround for expense reports -negotiate an annual salary, get paid hourly instead -growth for the sake of growth -turnover, turnover, turnover -major disconnect between "treehouse" (corporate) and daily operations -P&L and other financials replaced with colorful graphs and charts.

Started off great but starting to show its true colors

Pros

-You get $13 everyday for your meal. -My coworkers are great and I have built real friendships with them.

Cons

-The pay is way too low. We are on our feet all day and we are expected to be moving around fast and getting our work done but the low pay is not enough for what you have to deal with on a daily basis. -Some customers can be very difficult and rude. I never will understand how people can get so worked up about a SALAD. -Corporate and management are some of the most petty people I have ever met. My manager cuts your hours if you do or say something that she does not like. Even if she knows you are struggling and that you need the money she will reduce your 5 day 36 hour work week to a 2 day 10 hour week. And do not even think about moving up in the company unless you are on the manager's good side and you get along with corporate. We all have to fake a smile and act extra peppy when our area leader comes around or we risk getting our hours cut even more until we quit or get fired. -Since our pay is on the lower end, we look forward to our tips but those get taken away if there is even a penny missing from the register. This is just so that the Manager's bonus isn't deducted in that amount. This is extremely unfair because the managers barely do any work aside from refilling the line or sitting at the computer all day. -At sweetgreen the customer is always right even if they are extremely wrong. They could complain about the smallest thing and the leave with a free meal and then in return the employees get in trouble. -My manager keeps using the excuse of low business as to why we are all getting less hours and then she goes and hires more people and gives them the hours that she takes away from the people who have been there for over a year. -We used to get money given to the store every year by corporate so that we can close the store for a night and have a holiday party complete with gifts bought by the company. This past year they told us that we would not be given any money. Its not like the company had no money, especially since they seemed to be opening new stores every month. This company is money hungry and it doesn't care about its employees.
