Lay Offs Beware

Pros

Work/life balance, work from home.

Cons

After working here for 4 years, they completely got rid of an entire team with zero notice. There was no remorse from the company at all. No hint at all that this would happen and then expect employees not to be enraged? They are easing out of the US, there is no office anymore and they are laying off US employees left and right. If they are “growing and thriving” so much, why are you getting rid of teams that are, what seem like, essential employees? Also, no one actually knows what’s going on with the product and what clients want. Good luck if you plan on working here.

Pros

Work from Home that's about it

Cons

Everything- no basic benefits like FMLA, maternity/paternity leave. Insurance is "meh". No documentation of policies, handbook etc. Management is a joke. They lie (or send their minions to lie for them) They don't care to be bothered by members of their teams and then later lie to get people fired by making up things on their review. Management can't man/woman up and talk about it face to face either. They'll hide after they write it. The company as a whole isn't transparent with any decisions and especially the ones that affect employees (i.e. layoffs, restructuring). In fact, they are very dishonest and decided to fire 3/4 of their employees ( US and UK), instead of doing to right thing and properly laying off w/severance. There is no career progression and you do the same crap work day after day, losing brain cells in the process. They spin their wheels making up "new work" only to decide to change their minds and scrap it. You've done all this work for nothing. No diversity- those in the USA, you know what I mean. EVERYONE looks alike with the exception of a couple (literally) token reps to try to save face. We see through it.

Pros

Work from home, flex schedule, office location

Cons

There is a lack of career growth, health insurance is EXPENSIVE as the company pays little to nothing into the group plan, HR knows nothing about US benefits and employment laws and acts like you are an annoyance when you have questions. There seems to be a lack of transparency within this company. Everything is kept hush hush and swept under the rug, crucial convos are avoided, and you're told things that never seem to happen. Management lies basically.

Thanks for your feedback, our approach to career progression is something we deeply care about and have significantly invested in and progressed over the last year in particular. We have advertised and filled roles internally for our Nashville office recently and even have a newly created role within Clinical Operations also at our Nashville office currently so there are plenty of opportunities for all our current employees to progress within the business. We operate a diligent interview process with detailed feedback provided to each member of our team that applies. Bias is something we take very seriously and we’re committed to training and development as well as other efforts around this to make sure we are the best we can be. We know there’s room for improvement and would encourage you to share feedback with your manager, with me directly or anyone on the HR team so we can address these concerns. We are continually reviewing our third party service provider for US benefits and will take your feedback on board in relation to this. We have been working on a new revamped structure for US benefits that we will be announcing within the next couple of months. If you feel that your issues have not been dealt with by the HR processes or have had a bad experience working here then I would be happy to arrange a time to meet to discuss any of these issues further with you.
