Pros
Hires talented engineers and is willing to consider and encourage development and exploration of innovative solutions. Gives engineers freedom to choose best technologies for new projects. Overall model and service to customers seems to provide real value.
Cons
Projects are frequently not executed to completion due to a lack of process. Upper management cancels projects with no warning to move resources to new projects with no direction, leaving persistent problems in place. Coordination between teams can be chaotic. Agile practices followed in name only, basically standup meetings and a jira queue but that's it. Upper management seems more interested in projecting an image of being a hip startup than developing technology.
