I have been working with x.ai for more than 2 years. There are a vast number of things that stand out about x.ai - both in terms of tech and management levels. Tech wise - you get work on some of the hardest and unsolved problems - especially in the field of Natural Language Processing/ Artificial Intelligence. There is also vast amounts of high quality data and this makes it very exciting to work on Data Science problems. You also get to be a part of smart and passionate teammates. People range from being programming experts in Scala to scientists at CERN - and that shows the diversity in skill set. x.ai also has a great diversity in employees and it constantly encourages movement across teams - even from non-technical to technical and vice-versa. Being a startup, you also get to ship things at rocket pace and see your code making real world impact within no time. That is definitely a satisfying experience. Management wise - I think x.ai's management is super receptive to feedback and very flexible to process changes. There is no chain of command and communication flows quite smoothly & quickly between all levels. There is also great recognition for the work you do and people provide constant feedback to each other. This helps you grow both as an individual and in your career. I also believe x.ai is one of the best customer focused AI companies out there. I'd say we follow "Customer is the king!" policy. Everyone - including the tech team - is super focused on making sure customer experience is top notch and this is something that's rare and is an admirable culture! The responses on social media of our amazing CEO Dennis Mortensen are a testament to this. He is super diligent in responding to every minor customer complaint and making sure the team acts on it. In general, Dennis is super passionate and determined about the company's mission and this creates a very positive & energetic atmosphere across the company.
