According to AAA, nearly half of Tennesseans are comfortable with the idea of going somewhere for a getaway, which is up 10% from when this survey was done back in January. The two biggest reasons are vaccines and confidence in safety measures, plus how they are implemented. The Auto Club Group says 400 Tennesseans took part in the survey.
While the report focuses on North Carolina without South Carolina statistics being provided, the latest data analysis from the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety found that fatal wrong-way driving crashes are a persistent and devastating threat that has grown significantly worse in the Tar Heel State.

The Pistons announced last Tuesday they are partnering with the Detroit Police Department to launch the Advancing African-American Teens Mentoring Program, which is supported by AAA. That same Tuesday saw the first of a series of monthly mentorship meetings created to provide Detroit-area teens with mentors. It was not a coincidence the program commenced the day after the U.S. honored the memory of the late civil rights leader.
AM Best has upgraded the Financial Strength Ratings (FSR) to "A" (Excellent) from "A-"(Excellent) and the Long-Term Issuer Credit Ratings (ICR) to "a" from "a-" for Auto Club Insurance Association and its wholly owned subsidiaries - Auto Club Group Insurance Company, MemberSelect Insurance Company, Auto Club Property-Casualty Insurance Company, Meemic Insurance Company and Fremont Insurance Company. The outlook of these ratings has been revised to stable from positive.
