A&M North Asia was honored to host Sudesh Thevasenabathy, Head of Inclusive Diversity Asia, Manulife for a fireside chat with Adeline Chin, Head of Legal, in recognition of International Women’s Day (IWD). They discussed this year’s theme of “Accelerate Action” and its impact on the future of gender roles in the workplace. Offices in Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai and Beijing also hosted networking events to celebrate the occasion!
Celebrating Lunar New Year Across Our U.S. Offices. This month, our teams across Austin, Dallas, Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle and D.C. came together to celebrate Lunar New Year, embracing tradition, culture and community. From insightful presentations to interactive trivia and personal storytelling, the celebrations were filled with moments of reflection and connection. A highlight across offices was sharing dumplings, a symbol of wealth and prosperity, along with other meaningful foods like noodles for longevity and the exchange of red envelopes for good luck. More than a celebration, this gathering strengthened bonds and honored cultural heritage as we welcomed a prosperous year ahead together. Wishing everyone joy, success, and prosperity in the year ahead!
Colleagues from the Private Equity Performance Improvement team recently had a memorable offsite event in Phoenix, Arizona, featuring Mini Golf for Good. 18 teams came together to design mini golf holes using canned goods, art supplies and other perishable and non-perishable food items. After navigating the course, the team donated an impressive 2,200 canned goods to a local food bank which supports food-insecure communities across Phoenix and nine Arizona counties!

Throughout the holidays, the teams in Mexico and Colombia supported local children's organizations with acts of giving. In Mexico, the team organized a toy drive for children without families, purchasing toys for 37 kids at the foundation. Meanwhile, in Colombia, donations were gathered to provide kits containing food, hygiene items, and school supplies for children in need.
A&M leaders recently attended the American College of Bankruptcy and Focus on Gender Diversity's event "Interrupting Gender Bias in the Restructuring Industry." The event presented detailed findings and analysis from the workplace study, along with practical, actionable steps and a digital toolkit that organizations can use to address potential biases.
