We wanted to give a huge thank you Ashley Home Store of Modesto, CA for their amazing donation of furniture last Month! Their donation went to help furnish the apartments of 5 former foster youth Anthony, Bryan, Terence, Jordan and Skyla. The former youth were presented certifications from Aspiranet staff, leadership, and representatives from Stanislaus County Supervisor (District 3) Terry Withrow's office. Thank you again Ashley Homestore for helping youth get a head start in gaining their independence as they transition out of foster care.

In these bootcamps, organizations assist in preparing attendees by facilitating mock interviews to help prepare the attendees for real, professional, job interviews. Aspiranet recently partnered with Kaiser Permanente Thrive where Robert had the opportunity to have a mock interview with Tony Colemen, SBC Assistant Hospital Administrator. After Robert's mock interview, Tony was very impressed with Robert's abilities and encouraged him to apply for a job through Kaiser Permanente online portal. A few months later, Robert was hired in the OMC Food and Nutrition Department as a Host. Robert says, "My past doesn't define me. It just reminds me to always work hard. With this opportunity, of working at Kaiser Permanente, I can build my life." Robert has been a KP employee since September 2018. Once again, congratulations to you Robert and we look forward to you having future success!
