Forbes has named Atrium Health to its list of “Best Employers for Diversity 2023.” The Best Employers for Diversity were selected based on survey results from approximately 45,000 U.S. employees who anonymously rated their organizations based on criteria including age, gender, ethnicity, disability and LGBTQ+ equality, as well as general diversity. “We celebrate diversity in our workplace and as our culture commitments say, we strive each day to create a space where all belong, and everyone can bring their authentic selves to the workplace,” said Jim Dunn, executive vice president and chief people and culture officer for Advocate Health, of which Atrium Health is a part. “We work as one team to make great things happen, and the care our patients receive is strengthened by that.” #AtriumHealthProud #NowPartofAdvocateHealth

She emphasizes the importance of being compassionate for others and values a level of care that originates in the heart. Today, Misty works in the same hospital that inspired her nursing career 25 years prior, and runs two maternity departments working with high-risk patients. At Atrium Health, it pays to refer. Robert is a Nurse Manager at Atrium Health who recruited Lara, a teammate previously featured for providing nine referrals to her Med/Surg unit at Atrium Health Cabarrus. In his hiring interviews, Robert emphasizes how each department at Atrium Health recognizes the importance of inclusion, support and encouragement of others. Robert says that all of Lara's referrals have "provided feedback on how much they like working at Atrium Health, how supported they feel, and what a unique culture exists where teamwork and support is provided at the unit, facility, and organizational levels." The bonus of the teammate referral program, Robert says, "is knowing the person you referred is also going to strive to meet the same expectations of high-quality clinical care, encouraging others, being supportive and inclusive of every teammate." Atrium Health is proud to offer teammates the opportunity to refer friends, family and former team members for eligible opportunities with the possibility to earn substantial cash rewards.
In her three-decade nursing career, Jes Earhart has pretty much seen it all. That is, until she had the chance to work alongside her daughter, health care technician, Emily Earhart, and her stepdaughter, Emma Davis, a soon-to-be respiratory therapist at Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital. “Working with my girls fills me with joy,” Jes says. “I get to hear the excitement in their voices as they relay new knowledge to me.” It’s a unique experience inspired by her own mother’s five-decade nursing career. Thank you to Jes, her mom, and all of the moms who continue to inspire all of us. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gRm5SnJR #MothersDay #AdvocateHealth

This #NursesWeek, Atrium Health is proud to celebrate the men and women who make up our largest group of teammates. Nurses are the backbone of all that we do. We’re grateful for all they do, because everyone has a nurse to thank. At Atrium Health, the Pinnacle Award is the most prestigious award a teammate can receive. This year, four of those honorees were nurses. Amanda “Mandy” Dawkins is clinical supervisor for two of our Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital teams. Teammates say she goes above and beyond to make sure her team functions smoothly. Thank you, Mandy, for your leadership, your support and your dedication to our patients and teammates. #AdvocateHealth
