To continue enhancing patient care across the Southeast, Orlando Health today announced plans to acquire RMC Health System in Northeast Alabama. Located in Anniston, RMC is a not-for-profit health system that includes a 375-bed medical center, outpatient facilities and specialty practices serving patients throughout the east-central portion of the state. The acquisition is expected to close by the fall of this year with RMC, its facilities, team members and physicians becoming part of Orlando Health’s Alabama Region at that time. Recently, we celebrated a major milestone at Baptist Health Walker Hospital: completing our 1,000th robotic surgery. 🎉 Less than 3% of the cases at Baptist Health Walker Hospital are performed as open surgeries—the lowest rate in Alabama—which is a testament to the skill of our incredibly talented surgeons, OR teams, and support staff.
