I have been Team Lead in the Extrusion department for seven years now. No two days are alike and that motivates me to find solutions to the challenges that arise. The “cooling coil” was my favorite project so far. After researching online, I proposed a solution to minimize the humidity in our raw material and was recognized with an award for my initiative. With many associates working from home now due to COVID-19, day-to-day IT support work has become more mission critical. . My colleagues and myself adapted to this new reality quickly to ensure continued success for Bath Fitter. On a bigger scale, our IT team replaced the network infrastructure across all our corporate locations. It was a massive undertaking that required a lot of planning, superb teamwork and many late nights. We continue to support and build on that infrastructure to this day. “Bath Fitter is like a big family. We all want to keep each other safe. Our employees understand the importance of safety and are willing to do their part to make sure we succeed as a team. I have been here for 16 years and I can say that COVID-19 has been the biggest challenge of my career at Bath Fitter. My goal throughout this pandemic has been to make sure our safety protocols are adapted to many different jobs and environments. Finding the right balance has been a big responsibility because I wanted our protocols to be strict enough that no one got sick, but not so strict that people could not do their jobs. ?Anything is achievable if you put the right amount of effort into it,? declares Finance Controller, Retail Division, Karine Attenborough, CPA CA. That, for Karine, is her biggest takeaway after completing L'effet A Leadership challenge. Known for being one of the best places to work for women in Canada, Bath Fitter is always looking for ways to facilitate additional responsibilities facing newly promoted women in the organization. It was with great pride that Karine accepted to participate in the leadership program over a period of 15 weeks hosted by some of the most important women leaders in Quebec. Bath Fitter is evidently determined to invest in their future leaders. Karine says, ?I feel blessed to have been chosen for this program and I believe it came at the right moment in my career, helping me define myself as a leader.? Karine is certain that being a more effective leader is beneficial to personal and professional life and she looks forward to applying her newfound confidence in her new roles as a soon-to-be mother and, eventually, as a working mom.

Thats why Brand Supervisor Kelly De Luca recently accepted an invitation to attend L'effet A, a 15-week Leadership Program designed and run by some of Quebecs top women leaders. They really helped me focus on understanding who I am as leader, says Kelly. I have the tools to make my team even better. Kelly says being around so many strong, confident, and ambitious women was beyond beneficial. I now know I can be a mentor, too.
