🎨 Overwatch 2 is hiring game developers in Korea! 🎨 The Overwatch Korea team at the new Blizzard Korea studio in Seoul is a fully integrated part of the Overwatch development team. This studio is a great place for game artists such as modelers, concept artists, and character technical artists to grow their careers as part of one of the most diverse and creative gaming franchises in the world. Our developers in Seoul will work on global content for Overwatch, including 2D and 3D character art, cosmetics, promotional illustration, and more. 🗺️ These artists will also collaborate with our US-based team on projects like the skins featured below! Meet Felipe Pereira, Senior Sound Designer on Overwatch “Growing up in Rio de Janeiro, I was always passionate about games. As I got older and moved to Los Angeles, I found myself dreaming of working as a gameplay animator at Blizzard. I decided to go to school for it and befriended some of the audio production students. Suddenly, music production became my new obsession. After years of dreaming of working at Blizzard, I applied, interviewed, and found myself with a new job. After a couple years of working at Blizzard and taking game audio courses, I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to assist with sound design on the Heroes of the Storm team. That opportunity led to a full-time offer and that started my career as a sound designer. I recently had the opportunity to make the ambience and map sounds for the Rio de Janeiro map in Overwatch. Rio is my hometown, and with that came a deep feeling of nostalgia and desire to represent it authentically. It forced me to really analyze the sounds of the city and find connections in the soundscape of my childhood that I was never really aware of until then. After that experience, any time I'm in the position now to represent a culture, whether it’s through a map or character, I feel a great sense of responsibility to bring the coolest parts of it to light. Knowing how incredible that felt for me as a Brazilian brings me a deep satisfaction to know that I can help provide that for someone else.”

Meet Adam Fletcher, Associate Director of Community for Diablo. 🌹 #BlizzardPride Pride, to me, represents the celebration of who I am, as well as embracing the diversity of the entire LGBTQ+ community. It's a month where we collectively remind the world that inclusion, representation, and equality truly matter. Love is love. We all define it in the same way and we all can celebrate it together. For those aspiring to join the gaming industry, I have two essential pieces of advice: perseverance and passion. It's a highly competitive field, but if you have the unwavering determination to pursue your dreams, you will find a way in. Set goals for yourself, work on projects that showcase your skills and creativity, and be relentless in your pursuit. Remember, the gaming industry is a close-knit community, so building connections and getting to know professionals already working in the field can make a significant difference.
