We recently unveiled our new Brightview Associate Development Growth & Engagement Program (BADGE). The BADGE program offers three pathways for associates: Educate, Elevate, and Extend. These pathways allow associates to shape and pursue their individual goals through different enrichment avenues: The Educate pathway is for those seeking learning opportunities for personal and professional growth. The Elevate pathway is suitable for those that are interested in career advancement. The Extend pathway is best for associates interested in expanding their skill sets through projects and partnerships. At Brightview, we believe in growth that spans all directions and development that touches every aspect of your authentic self. Everyone has a different goal, so now is the time to start dreaming!

In honor of Black History Month, we are highlighting the histories, legacies, and continued importance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) in our country. This month, we highlighted several HBCU graduates from the Brightview Senior Living family. These associates had impactful experiences at their respective HBCUs that involved relationship-building, networking, and self-discovery. Health Services Director Raquel Levrone said, "Howard University not only equipped me with the knowledge to excel in the nursing field, but it instilled a rich sense of community and encouraged me to understand the importance of giving back to your community." Most HBCUs were founded after the Civil War to give Black Americans a place to pursue a college education in a racially segregated country. Even after the Civil Rights Movement and the end of segregation, HBCUs are critical in providing students with a valuable education. We value the countless contributions of HBCUs and HBCU graduates to our society!
