Brightview Senior Living was thrilled to attend this year's Maryland ProStart Program state competition. The program, which is affiliated with the National Restaurant Association, provides high schools with industry-supported, career technical education to achieve long-term, successful careers in the Culinary Arts Field. As a proud sponsor of the organization, Brightview was excited to connect with the students about Brightview Senior Living being a viable career path in Culinary Arts. The event allowed the students to learn more about the company and its commitment to providing high-quality dining experiences for its residents. The competition showcased the culinary skills of the students, who were judged by a panel of industry professionals. Brightview was fortunate to witness the incredible talent and passion of the next generation of culinary professionals. Overall, the event was a great success, and Brightview was honored to be a part of it. We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Maryland ProStart Program and supporting the next generation of culinary professionals.

February is Black History Month, and this year's theme is "African Americans and the Arts." It's a time to recognize and celebrate the significant contributions of Black Americans to the arts. Throughout history, African Americans have made a tremendous impact on the arts, including music, literature, theater, film, and visual arts. From the Harlem Renaissance to modern-day artists, they have enriched our culture and inspired us with their creativity and talent. There are many ways to celebrate Black History Month and the theme of African Americans and the Arts. By learning about the history of Black artists, attending performances, visiting art exhibits, or supporting Black-owned art businesses, we can honor and appreciate their contributions. It's important to recognize that Black History Month is not just about celebrating the past. It's also about acknowledging the current struggles and challenges that face the Black community today. As a society, we can work together to promote equality, justice, and progress for all.
