Victoria Barney is a co-founder of the Associate Board which began in spring of 2017. She is a Relationship Manager at Goldman Sachs and takes a particular interest in FinTech, Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG Investing. Her board involvement began when she attended Board Match and instantaneously connected with Catholic Guardian Services? mission and Craig Longley, our Executive Director. At the time, Victoria was new to NYC, by way of Baltimore and wanted to get involved with a nonprofit that benefitted those most in need. Her Catholic and Jesuit education motivated her to work with a faith-based organization whose mission resonated with her upbringing. She is passionate about Catholic Guardian? critical work which supports the underserved - including foster families, migrant children, people with disabilities and young mothers, along with so many others.

This “Work from Home” shift is undoubtedly a welcome change for those of us who used to battle through lengthy daily commutes, many of whom have discovered delightful new possibilities for the ten to twenty extra hours per week they received back as a result of no longer needing to commute each day. There may also be something to be said for spending entire workdays in pajamas or playing music for hours on end without disturbing nearby coworkers.
