Meet the Super Six! Our radiator service crimp team in #BattleCreekMI supported each other every day since the start of #COVID19. They brought to work their 'A+' game, positive attitudes and a laser focus to overcome challenges and collaborate as a team to do right by one another and society. A big THANK YOU to our spirited North Carolina and Michigan employees who quietly joined the effort to fight COVID-19 by producing components intended for respirators. Not only are we grateful for their efforts but we’re so proud of their ability to shift gears and create these parts in such a short time – it’s a true showing of the #DENSOspirit! #Engineering #Design #Manufacturing
Today marks the restart of the U.S. #auto industry, and our facilities in the U.S. and Canada are preparing to ship mass production orders to customers. We're getting back to doing what we do best, but in a way that puts our employees' safety first. Thank you, DENSO employees, for your commitment to safety and to helping jump start the industry. https://www.denso.com/us-ca/en/news/other-topics/2020/20200511-01/
Making others feel valued and cared about is a part of our DENSO DNA. Whether it’s onsite or virtual, we love seeing employees come together as #OneDENSO! “We are all part of an incredible team that we’ve seen is resilient and will jump in to help others without missing a beat. That’s the #DENSOspirit. That’s who we are. That’s what will help us get through this. In the days and weeks ahead, my request of you is simple: take time to connect. Ensure everyone is feeling welcomed, valued, respected and heard. Listen to one another as we work together to overcome the challenges we face individually and as One DENSO.” – Denise Carlson, D&I Executive Lead and Vice President of DENSO’s North American Production Innovation Center
A massive THANK YOU to our undercover change agents, aka DENSO’s North American IT team for their quick expansion of our work from home capabilities. And, for continually supporting our employees at home! We couldn’t stay connected without you. #DENSOspirit #WFH
A heartfelt congrats to Rich vanOorschot, president of our Guelph, Canada thermal production facility, who has retired to spend more time with his family, including his 13th grandkid coming this summer! Thank you for your service. Andris Staltmanis, current CEO of our NA Thermal operations, will take the helm as interim president. Enjoy retirement, Rich!
With the US #auto industry ramping up, we've been preparing to support our customers beyond service parts and PPE/medical component production. Our NA Safety teams have been working around the clock for weeks to prepare facilities for operation increases, which is already underway in some locations. (THANK YOU SHE team!) The safety of our employees & communities will always be a top priority for us. This is why we've launched a Risk Minimization Playbook that outlines our safety measures, and also rolled out a phased Return-to-Work Protocol to gradually bring more team members back as government mandates allow. As more of us return, we ask everyone to put health & safety first. Let's all do our part to remain safe and support one another as we help drive the economy forward. https://www.denso.com/us-ca/en/news/other-topics/2020/20200506-01/
Our facilities in #BattleCreekMI and #SouthfieldMI have donated over 1,000 face shields to local community organizations in towns many of our employees call home. The equipment has gone to protect frontline workers, friends and neighbors at Calhoun County, Michigan's Joint Operations Command Center, Bronson Battle Creek Healthcare, Hospice of Southwest Michigan, Portage Police & Fire Department and Beaumont Hospital, Troy. #DENSOspirit
Today, our global President and CEO Koji Arima had this to say about DENSO’s response to COVID-19: “While this is a challenging time for us, I am very proud of our employees around the world for their spirit, speed and collaboration to support each other, our customers and our local communities.” To see how we’re supporting our employees and frontline workers during this difficult time, click here: https://bit.ly/2VR8QUR
A big thank you to Britt Autry for leading an effort to create face shields for health care heroes in #MaryvilleTN! Thanks to you and the facility’s #DENSOSpirit, we’ll be able to donate more than 50,000 shields to local frontline workers battling #COVID19.
