As the summer heat ramps up, we are more grateful than ever for the hard-working professionals who keep us comfortable and keep our refrigeration systems running. Skilled technicians are a vital part of our industry. At Hillphoenix, we are proud to offer hands-on training that builds the knowledge and skills of our hard-working refrigeration technicians, and we’re honored to work alongside the dedicated techs that maintain system efficiency and keep food retail operations running smoothly. If you have the opportunity, thank an HVACR tech today!

To our 20 interns in 5 different states: thanks for showing up, diving in and making a HUGE impact. You brought fresh ideas, curiosity and a whole lot of energy to our teams this summer, and it didn’t go unnoticed. We're excited to see where your talent and skills take you next, and we're proud to be a small part in growing the next generation of leaders!
We’re happy to recognize a leader when we see one! Stephen Nofzinger, Director of Human Resources at DFR, recently became one of the very first recipients of the VBL 100: Milestone Award, an honor given to facilitators who have trained over 100 leaders across Dover Corporation organizations. “It is an honor to receive such a prestigious award from Dover for doing something I truly believe in,” Nofzinger remarked. “VBL has made an indelible impact upon our organization over the last several years. I am proud to be part of this team of dynamic facilitators who are taking leadership to the next level.” Thank you, Stephen, for showing what people-first leadership looks like firsthand!
Great leadership doesn’t just happen; it’s developed through learning, reflection and showing up for your team. Back in April, DFR’s Extended Leadership Team gathered in our Conyers, GA headquarters for one of four enterprise-wide meetings focused on enhancing leadership effectiveness. “Building and Managing Collaborative Relationships” was the theme of this quarter’s workshop, which was led by our HR Leadership Team and LDR Worldwide.. “The LDR training is a key component of Leading at DFR, our comprehensive approach to leadership development,” said Tuck Tucker, VP of Human Resources. “We’re excited to see such passion and commitment from our ELT members as they seek to become better leaders and improve the culture of our workplace.”
In response to the growing demand for skilled technicians, we launched the Dover Food Retail Registered Apprentice Program to grow talent from within and open doors to long-term career success. Congrats to Keith Belfon and Derrick Coaxum, the first two registered apprentices leading the way in Richmond, VA. We're proud to invest in our people and we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish for the industry!
We’re proud to share that 17 DFR team members (some shown here) have been recognized with Dover Corporation’s 2025 Select Top Achiever Recognition (STAR) and Growth & Innovation (G&I) Awards. This is a company-wide honor celebrating exceptional leadership, performance and growth. Nominated by their teams and selected by Dover leadership, each recipient has made a lasting impact on the business. “These awards speak to their innovative spirit and unwavering commitment to success,” said DFR President Paul Sindoni. “We’re proud to see our outstanding employees recognized with this well-deserved, prestigious token of appreciation.” Congratulations to all our honorees, and thank you for helping define what success looks like at DFR!
Earlier this year, DFR Director of Human Resources, Stephen Nofzinger, presented a $5,000 donation to the Pancreatic Cancer Connector Foundation on behalf of both Dover Corporation and Hillphoenix. Employees whose loved ones have been impacted by the disease joined in support, making the occasion even more meaningful. Together, we can honor those affected and continue to raise awareness.
