For our Vice President of Energy Strategy and Policy Roger Kranenburg, #BlackHistoryMonth is both a celebration of his family's roots, and an important time to reflect on how we can advance opportunities that will benefit historically underrepresented communities. “Offshore wind is an engine that will benefit populations that are typically left out of economic growth opportunities. I see the opportunity for good-paying jobs for coastal communities in New London, CT, and New Bedford, MA as offshore wind begins to grow.” #everymonthisblackhistorymonth #offshorewind #cleanenergy #cleanenergyjobs

As climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic continue to impact everyone and every business, meaningful action that takes care of people, our communities, and the planet is more important than ever. A commitment to sustainability recognizes that we’re all connected. At Eversource Energy we know that when our employees, customers, communities, and the environment are doing well, our company does well. While we celebrate Eversource’s recognition as one of Barron's 100 Most Sustainable Companies, our work continues to advance our sustainability goals—including achieving carbon neutrality in our operations by 2030, being a catalyst for clean energy, and promoting racial and social justice. What a day! Incredible milestone for New York, our nation, and the U.S. offshore wind industry! Eversource and Ørsted celebrated the start of construction for #SouthForkWind with U.S. Secretary of Interior Deb Haaland, N.Y. Governor Kathy Hochul, the Town of East Hampton and many other supporters — without whom we never would have seen this day. South Fork Wind will provide enough #cleanenergy to power 70,000 New York homes including right here in East Hampton. #NYOffshoreWind

We’re so happy to be back volunteering in-person in our communities. A group of 19 of our employees recently spent the day at the Greater Middletown Military Museum in Connecticut helping the staff with their inaugural Military Vehicle & War-Era Car Show. “Eversource continues to demonstrate its unwavering support of our veterans and this was just another example of that commitment," said Eversource employee-volunteer Cliff Williams. We’re proud to have sponsored this event, and we had a great time.
Say "hi" to Jared Flagg, a student part of the first Lineworker Certificate Program at Captial Community College. For Jared, one of the most rewarding parts of training for 11 weeks was the close bond formed with the 15 others in the program.
