Risk management expert and former BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) presenter Nik Gowing was the keynote speaker. His discussion, titled “Thinking the Unthinkable: Leadership in the Digital Age,” focused on the result of his investigation into the risks confronting Asian business leaders in the digital age.

2017 marks the 50th anniversary of the FM Global Research Campus, located in West Glocester, Rhode Island, USA. In 1967, the original test center opened in West Glocester as the largest fire test facility in the world. Its full-scale testing capabilities included realistic rack-storage fires and ultimately led to many new property loss prevention breakthroughs, such as the development of in-rack sprinklers.
Employees from FM Global’s corporate offices in Johnston, Rhode Island, USA, participated in a United Way Day of Caring volunteer event to support the local community. Volunteers assisted with environmental cleanup and beautification efforts along the Woonasquatucket River in Providence, R.I. Activities included mulching and weeding paths and flower beds, and litter removal.
