We had a wonderful time at the Rocky Mountain Society of Women Engineers’ 2024 Spring Summit last weekend! Farnsworth Group proudly sponsored the event, and showcased our innovative work in the AEC industry. It was a great opportunity to connect with fellow women engineers and exchange insights. Inna Markus, our Electrical Engineering Manager from our Denver office, joined our Talent Acquisition Specialist Martita Menekse, making the experience even more enriching. We're committed to promoting diversity and excellence in engineering, and events like these allow us to further that mission. #FarnsworthGroup #WomenInEngineering
The new Bloomington YMCA opened on August 22 to the public - and we couldn't be more excited! Partnering with Easterseals, the facility, built to serve all, incorporates inclusive elements like a warm, 88-degree therapy/leisure pool, in addition to the 8-lane lap pool, featuring submersible wheelchairs, a river current to rehab knees and hips, and a universal locker room. Our team provided architectural, structural, civil, and mechanical engineering design. Counsilman-Hunsaker provided aquatics design, and PJ Hoerr was the construction manager. The vision was to build a welcoming, inspiring, and uplifting place that fosters youth development, enhances healthy living, and unites us all in social responsibility. The design reiterates that all are welcome to the facility, and we are delighted to be a part of a difference-making project! Photography: Red Corn Studios
Retail Portfolio Highlight: Less is more – even in retail. This renovation decreased the amount of leasable space to make room for more revenue. Re-design includes visual connection and pedestrian plazas. #ReinventingRetail
On a clear and crisp fall day, two of our Farnsworth Group Land Surveyors performed topographic surveys in Rocky Mountain National Park, a year after the East Troublesome Fire ravaged parts of the Park and surrounding community. This survey work supports our client's efforts to design new and replacement infrastructure for the National Park Service.
Nothing can energize a community, a school, or breathe life into an open piece of land like recreational spaces. Farnsworth Group likes to get its clients moving. Our experience covers a wide range of recreation facilities, from bike trails and playgrounds to community swimming pools and high-tech synthetic turf athletic fields. We're proud of the fun-filled spaces we have designed... and more importantly, our clients are proud of them too.
Last week, Farnsworth Group participated in the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Region IX Chapter Regional Conference hosted at the beautiful Cheyenne Mountain Resort. Corey Chinn from our Colorado Springs office served as a general co-chair and represented the Pikes Peak Chapter. We are proud to have been a platinum sponsor for this event!
Farnsworth Group recently attended the Missouri Preservation Award presentation and ribbon-cutting for Thunderbird Lodge at Washington State Park. We are proud of our team's design services and grateful for our role in the historic restoration of this piece of Missouri's legacy. This was a wonderful event and it's always a pleasure to see recognition for such a vital project.
Facility Repurposing is yet another great service we can provide in today's ever changing environment. Check out how we repurposed a retail mall space into a medical facility! How can we help you today?
Farnsworth Group was designated an ‘essential’ business for its work and support in the infrastructure and healthcare community. Farnsworth Group worked with several clients in a rapid response capacity for the repurposing of existing healthcare spaces into COVID-19 medical uses including ICU’s and isolation rooms. Additional team members continue to work on essential infrastructure projects. Throughout this healthcare crisis, our employees pulled together to do what they do best: serve our clients and do their very best to support our families and communities.
Farnsworth Group continues to seek and hire talented individuals to join our team. The Company’s diversity of services and broad client base has positioned the Company well to manage the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 healthcare issue. Farnsworth Group is conducting virtual interviews to maintain the safety of our candidates and employees. Each of our office locations have established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment once employees return to their respective offices.
