When COVID-19 emerged as a national healthcare crisis, Farnsworth Group’s attention immediately turned to the health and safety of its nearly 500 employees. With the latest in technology, all Farnsworth Group employees were directed to begin working from home. The Company kept employees informed and connected through its various communications platforms, including companywide employee virtual meetings to keep staff informed. Farnsworth Group immediately made available a number of resources and benefits including telehealth opportunities and free COVID-19 diagnostic testing. The Company also expanded its Employee Assistance Program, a free service to employees offering financial and legal guidance, as well as work life solutions. In addition, Farnsworth Group provided thorough explanation and HR support of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) to inform employees of the federal benefits available to them including paid sick leave and expanded family and medical leave.
