Our Livingston Plant Health and Safety Fair in full swing! Tons of raffle prizes, games, music, corn dogs and so much more! Employees are encouraged to come out to learn about benefits, resources, safety committees, a variety of local vendors, and employees can even get a free flu shot! Workplace safety is priority #1 at Foster Farms!
On August 31st, 2017 about 170 employees from varying departments across Foster Farms came out to participate in our First Annual Chicken Run(fun run). Employees had a choice of two distances, 1.5 or 2.5 miles A strong cheering section formed at the finish line to support finishers! All finishers earned a limited edition water bottle to commemorate the event, followed by a picnic lunch. This year’s event honored Foster Farms Livingston Fertilizer (KOPRO) Plant Manager, CPT. Nathan Miller, a dear friend and coworker who was killed tragically while cycling to work earlier this year. Nate served proudly as an officer in the United States Army and Reserves, was a loving husband and proud father; he is sorely missed. Nate left a lasting impact on all he interacted with here at Foster Farms, an Ironman triathlete, ultra-marathoner and passionate cyclist – this event was the perfect way to honor him! All participants got to “Run with Nate” in celebration of his life and contributions to Foster Farms! The event also served as a kick off for our new Foster Farms Veterans Club
