Eight Kewaskum High School students recently completed the two-week St. Joseph's Hospital Health Care Careers Academy, in which they shadow and learn from professionals in various departments. The academy provides qualified students entering their junior or senior year this fall with the opportunity to expand their knowledge as it relates to a wide array of professional health care career options.
Janelle Wieczorek, ED RN, has been recognized with St. Joseph’s Hospital’s fourth quarter DAISY Award for her “loving soul” and compassion. “I experienced my first miscarriage and had to come to the hospital,” said the award nominator. “Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have had Janelle as my nurse." Earlier this month, cystic fibrosis health care professionals from nine states gathered in Milwaukee to observe firsthand how Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Froedtert Hospital and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin deliver exemplary care from the time of diagnosis to advanced care. The Froedtert & MCW Cystic Fibrosis Program provides a continuum of care with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and is the only adult program in southeastern Wisconsin accredited by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
