And that’s a wrap on our summer internships programs! This summer, we welcomed 196 interns to Waukesha, Wisconsin, to learn about what it means to be part of GE HealthCare and to engage with some of our inspiring leaders. They joined us at locations across the U.S., including Waukesha, Madison, Florence, Chicago, Salt Lake City, and more. Over the last three months, our interns have made a huge impression. Their creativity and fresh perspectives have injected new life and inspiration into GE HealthCare, and we are so excited to see what they do next. To celebrate our interns this week, our wonderful interns and CPO Adam Holton gathered for a good old-fashioned cookout in the sun, complete with lawn games and a surprise snow cone truck. Every year, GE HealthCare proudly welcomes participants from The Health Management Academy’s Fellowship program for a 3-day leadership development summit. For National Cancer Survivor Day in June, we wanted to honour the superhero strength and resilience of survivors - like our colleague, Jen Stroud. Her breast cancer diagnosis revealed an important truth: "early detection can save lives". This Research Appreciation Day, we’re celebrating the pursuit of knowledge and the innovation it fuels. This Summer, we are so excited to welcome 196 interns from across the US for our Summer Development program! The program will kick off on the 19th of May, with 114 attendees on-site in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where they will learn what it means to be a part of GE HealthCare and engage with some of our inspiring leaders. Off-site at “camp”, our future innovators will build rapport through team building activities and design-thinking tasks, to encourage collaboration and creativity while emphasizing the importance of these skills in real-world healthcare scenarios. We are excited to hear their fresh perspectives and have no doubt this team will continue to move the needle in the right direction. This International Nurses Day, we honor the extraordinary dedication of nurses around the world. At GE HealthCare, we see their courage, compassion, and resilience woven into every patient's journey. Earlier this year, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Annual Convention, one of the largest career and networking events for Black engineers. With 18,000+ attendees, the convention was a powerful space to connect with top talent in engineering, science, and technology from across the U.S. We hosted 50 coffee chats, conducted 7 interviews, and extended 10 job offers to truly exceptional individuals. We also invited attendees to a networking event with current GE HealthCare colleagues, who shared their engineering journeys, personal ties to NSBE, and thriving careers with us. Seeing these meaningful connections take shape reinforced the inclusive and supportive culture we’re proud to foster. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their stories and aspirations for the future.
