An ecological research project in high school is the spark that ignited a lifelong interest in environmental science for Rob Scrafford, PE, PMP, F.SAME. Fast forward to today, and his passion continues as he leads natural resource investigations, water resources assessments, large-scale site remediation projects, and has restored more than 20 miles of stream and acres of wetlands. An area manager for Maryland and Virginia in our Earth Sciences Corporate Business Group, Rob is a graduate of Bucknell University and The Johns Hopkins University, and recently became a member of the Society of American Military Engineers Academy of Fellows! Today, we celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy as a civil rights activist. He raised our country's consciousness on becoming a more racially just society, and his teachings focused on justice, struggle, love, and peaceful resistance. Our country, and indeed the world, is a better place because of Dr. King's work. Over the past several months, our CEO Robert Scaer, P.E., and board of directors have taken the time to reflect and fully understand that words are not enough. Commitment and action are needed, and Gannett Fleming is committed to making investments to improve connection and contribute in ways that have a lasting impact on our communities.
