GIBSON LOVES TO GIVE! Another annual tradition that Gibson Overseas is proud of is participation in the “Spark of Love Toy Drive” in partnership with KABC and Southern California Firefighters. It’s a wonderful way to give back to our community and spread holiday cheer! Over the past 26 years, the Spark of Love Toy Drive has successfully collected more than ten million toys! The campaign collects new, unwrapped toys and sports equipment for underserved children and teens throughout Southern California.
WHAT’S COOKING IN THE GIBSON LAB? Gibson Overseas has stringent product standards for our products to ensure quality, safety and functionality. Many of you may not know that Gibson has its own dedicated lab on premises in the LA office. Here are some key points of interest regarding the lab: • The lab was established in 2016 to perform development testing for use and reasonable abuse and identify potential products that may not meet claims or fail in use. • The lab is equipped with dishwashers, microwaves, oven, electric stove, corrosion tester, impact tester for ceramics and a light box—with this equipment, we can conduct 42 key tests. • Most important support of the lab is abuse testing, such as 20 cycles of a dishwasher, which most 3rd party labs do not administrate. • The lab also supports quality assurance (QA) during the development stage by running the minimum construction tolerances (MCT) report to establish product size/capacity and use and care claims. • The MCT is supported by PD

New York Tabletop Show 41 Madison is the address where one of the most premiere tabletop shows in our industry takes place bi-annually—The New York Tabletop Show. Last week, Gibson Overseas hosted a showroom at the four-day event. Customers from around the world attended and were very excited by Gibson’s offerings, including our new Martha Stewart collection!

HALLOWEEN AT GIBSON OVERSEAS In the spirit of Halloween, Gibson Overseas employees are encouraged to decorate their cubicles in the month of October. This leads up to a ghoulishly fun family event that has become an annual tradition. On Halloween, all employees are invited to enter the main haunted conference room for some games and refreshments for the goblin! Then we have a costume contest which includes employees and their children. Each child who dresses up receives a special holiday gift! Prizes are awarded, photos are taken, food and fun is had by all! It’s not a trick working at Gibson is a treat! GIBSON OVERSEAS MAKING A DIFFERENCE The holidays are all about traditions. At Gibson Overseas, we have a wonderful holiday tradition that provides a wonderful way to give back to our community. On November 9, 2019, all team members are eligible to participate in the Annual Los Angeles Food Bank Volunteer Event. The effort helps in the fight against hunger by feeding thousands of people in need. For several years now, Gibson has been supporting the LA Food Bank through donations and volunteering.
